Dolphins earn 5th place in TCIS Tournament

The Dolphins traveled to Huntington Park Tennis Center for the two-day TCIS Championships, with the Dolphins returning in 5th place overall.
Highlighting the TCIS Tournament for Cape Henry Collegiate, 8th-Grader Mary Turner Shipp completed the highest overall finish, winning third place from the fifth court. Anna Kutelia and Halle Speight also broke into the top-five, as each won fourth place on Friday afternoon from the number two and number six court, respectively. Rounding out the singles play in the TCIS Tournament, Rachel Moore (court one), Stephanie Strickland (court three), and Makenna DeTorres (court four) each returned with sixth place overall. Parker Matacunas and Mary Turner Shipp accounted for the best doubles finish for Cape Henry Collegiate, finishing in fourth place overall.
For the play throughout the season, Rachel Moore earned 2nd Team All-TCIS honors for singles play and teamed up with Stephanie Strickland to capture 2nd Team All-TCIS in doubles play. The Dolphins will await the final State ranking for a chance to keep the season alive.
