Dolphins earn win over Walsingham Academy

The Dolphins traveled to the Historic Triangle on Friday afternoon to take on the Trojans from Walsingham Academy, returning with a 3-0 win after every member of the roster earned valuable game experience. The Dolphins were on the board first on Friday night, with Parker Mann finding Gavin Dooren in the box for the finish. Moments later, Dooren quickly found the back of the net for his second goal of the night, with Trevor Kidd earning the assist on the play. Dooren’s second goal of the night extended the Cape Henry lead to 2-0 as the boys continued to execute a team-oriented, possession brand of soccer. The Trojans struck for one score, cutting into the 2-0 lead. However, the Dolphins rounded out the night’s scoring in the 3-1 victory over Walsingham Academy. Before the final whistle, Jeriel Adejobi completed his corner kick run, resulting in his first career varsity goal. Trevor Kidd earned the assist on the play, his second of the night. The Dolphins advanced to 5-0 on the season, with the Crusaders from Catholic High School up next on Tuesday, September 17 at 4:30 pm.
