The Dolphins welcomed the Spartans from Steward School to the pitch Friday night for a conference matchup, as the Dolphins earned the shutout in the 4-0 victory. Cassie Thompson put the Dolphins on the board with the night’s first score in the 26^th minute. The Dolphins battled with the Spartans for the remaining 14 minutes and carried the 1-0 lead into the break. Returning to the pitch for the second half, Cape Henry picked up the tempo and added three goals in the final 40 minutes. Two minutes into the second half, Olivia Zettervall beat the keeper as she drilled the ball into the upper 90 for the second goal of the night. Three minutes later, Cape Henry took a three-goal lead as Jillian Somers crossed the ball to Olivia Zettervall for her second goal of the night. Rounding out the offense, Olivia Zettervall assisted Caroline Fluharty for the fourth and final score of Friday’s win over the Spartans. With the 4-0 win over Steward, Cape Henry (5-5-2) will travel to Hampton Roads Academy for a 4:30 TCIS matchup on Thursday.
