Boys Basketball- CHC 85, St. Luke’s 29

The Dolphins welcomed the Australian Club Basketball team out of St. Luke’s Grammar School in Sydney Australian on Saturday night, with 11 of 13 Dolphins finding the bottom of the net. The Dolphins were off to a resounding lead after the first eight minutes of regulation were played as Cape Henry held a 25-9 lead. The Dolphins continued to showcase their offensive talents, adding 24 points en route to a 49-11 lead at the end of the second quarter. With both teams returning from halftime, Cape Henry’s offense was still clicking as the boys extended the lead to 72-20. Closing out the night, the Dolphins held onto an 85-29 victory. Christian Moore led all scorers with 14 points, with Dajour Rucker adding 12. Greg Melvin and Danny Banister broke double-digit points, as Melvin netted 11 and Banister contributed 10. Bryson Spell (9), Kellen Marshall (8), George Cutler (6), Lane Carlson (5), Beau Gwaltney (4), Nick Hubbard (4), and Landon Clay (2) rounded out the offense for Cape Henry. The Dolphins (4-1) will travel to Benedictine on Thursday night for a 7:00 pm tip-off.
