Boys Cross Country- 2^nd Place

The Dolphins took to the course at Norfolk Academy for the 11-team meet featuring 87 different runners. Leading the charge for Cape Henry, Owen Richards continued his dominating 2018 Cross Country season by finishing in 1^st place of 86 other runners. Owen’s time of 16:17 gave the Dolphins a fighting chance to take 1^st place overall; however, the Dolphins were without several members of the usual top-5. Attempting to make up the difference for the Dolphins, Briggs Standing and Simon Altmeyer finished with their best results of the season, crossing the finish line in 18:19.60 and 19:02.80 respectively. Rounding out the scoring five for Cape Henry, Taisho Miller and Kyle Edwards gave the Dolphins a 2^nd place finish, trailing by less than four minutes at the end of the meet. The team will return to action this weekend at the Great American Cross Country festival in Cary, NC.
