Exciting Field Hockey Win Against Kellam

The Dolphins hosted the Knights from Kellam High School on Saturday, and provided spectators will exceptional play throughout the night. The Dolphins were off to a fast start, as Caroline Fluharty played a ball to Gini Kainer, who finished off the first score four minutes into the game. Cape Henry did not slow down, with Ali Gordon adding the second goal of the first half. Closing out the first half, Ali Gordon assisted Mackenzie Dillon for the third score of the game. Aleezah Adams shut-out the Knights offense throughout the first half, giving the Dolphins a comfortable lead to begin the second half. Each side was held scoreless throughout the second half before Kellam snuck their first goal into the back of the cage with seven minutes remaining. Kellam put the pressure on the Dolphins to hold onto the lead with a second goal with three minutes left to play. Amberly Butler and the Dolphins defense held on for the final three minutes to give Cape Henry the fifth win of the season. The Dolphins (5-0) travel to the Sportsplex to take on the Patriots from First Colonial tonight at 6:30 pm.
