Girls Volleyball- CHC 1, Portsmouth Christian 3

The Dolphin Varsity Girls Volleyball traveled to Portsmouth Christian for a Thursday night match with the Knights and fell 1-3 without the dominant presence of Genevieve Reynolds.  In the first set, the Dolphins’ energy forced a back-and-forth contest, taking the set to 25-25 before falling 25-27. The girls rebounded in the second set, winning 25-16. The Dolphins struggled to build on the momentum from the second set, falling 17-25 and 12- 25 in the final two sets. Caroline Cashion and Paris Beale led the Dolphins attack with six kills each, while Brynn Earl and Kyndl Couch contributed a combined 21 assists. Defensively, Morgan Jones and Anna Buba kept the Dolphins afloat. Morgan pitched in for 16 digs, with Anna Buba finishing with 19 digs and four aces. The Dolphins are back in action tonight, as Cape Henry takes on Bishop Sullivan at home beginning at 5:30 pm.
