Dolphins win the first of two at Nansemond Suffolk Academy

The Dolphins traveled to Nansemond Suffolk Academy for the first night of the two-day tournament, winning in dominant fashion over Broadwater Academy on Friday night. The Dolphins were in full control from the opening tip, racing out to a commanding first-quarter lead. The Dolphins continued to extend the lead throughout the night and finished the 32-minute contest with a resounding 84-39 victory. Lane Carlson led all scorers with 19 points on Friday night. Bryson Spell finished the night with 18 points, with Bryce Jones also reaching double-digit scoring with 11 points. Nick Hubbard netted eight, as Kyle Edwards poured in seven. Christian Moore and Greg Melvin each contributed six points, with Jarrell Pope and George Cutler rounding out the scoring with three apiece. The Dolphins advanced to 3-1 overall with the Friday night win.
