Dolphins kick off season with CHC Invitational

The Dolphins hosted the Cape Henry Collegiate Invitational on Saturday afternoon, featuring four teams from the Hampton Roads area. Highlighting the Invitational Tournament for the Dolphins, Sam Goshgarian and Colby Kassir earned the gold as each won their respective weight class. Goshgarian finished the day with a 2-0 record in the 160-weight class, while Kassir finished 3-0 in the 180-weight class. All coaches voted Taz Thompson as the recipient of the Pete McCoy Coaches Award for his stellar effort throughout the day. Thompson finished the day with a 2-3 record from the 138-weight class. Also wrestling in the 138-weight class on Saturday, Chris Parker and Brendan Hawley each finished with three wins. Rounding out the highlights from Saturday, Nolan Sharp finished 2-1 in the 106-weight class, Aiden Altamura finished 2-1 in the 113-weight class, and Neal Kezman finished 2-2 from the 145-weight class. The Dolphins are back in action Saturday, December 14 for the Norfolk Academy Invitational.
