Varsity Boys Volleyball – Dolphins advance to TCIS Championship with win over Catholic High School

The Dolphins advanced to the Conference Finals on Tuesday afternoon with a 3-0 win over the Crusaders from Catholic High School, set to meet Norfolk Christian tonight at 6:00 pm for the TCIS title match. The Dolphins earned a first set win over the Crusaders, winning 25-18 before matching the first-set performance with a 25-19 win in the second set. The Dolphins completed the sweep with a 25-9 victory in the final set of the night, propelling the Dolphins to a TCIS Finals matchup with the Ambassadors from Norfolk Christian on Wednesday night. Leading the way on Tuesday night, Aiden Winfield dished out 18 assists while also contributing seven kills. Lane Carlson also added seven kills, with Nick Hubbard leading the Dolphins with nine kills on Tuesday night. Greg Melvin controlled the net with four blocks as Brady Old picked up the backline with six digs and four aces. Nico Cruz rounded out the Dolphin highlights with 16 assists on the night. The Dolphins will play for the TCIS Championship tonight at 6:00 pm, traveling to Catholic High School for the final match of the Dolphin season.
