The Dolphins hosted the Bulldogs from Norfolk Academy on Tuesday night for a deciding TCIS matchup, with the Bulldogs pulling out the 2-1 victory. The Dolphins and Bulldogs produced a scoreless battle for nearly 20 minutes before Norfolk Academy struck for the first score of the night late in the first half. Both sides took to the sideline for halftime with Norfolk Academy holding a 1-0 lead over the Dolphins. The second half produced much of the same, with both sides battling for possession before the Dolphins tied the night, 1-1, as Livy Wallace found the back of the cage with 12:54 remaining in play. On the ensuing possession for the Bulldogs, Norfolk Academy scored once more for the deciding goal of the night. As the remaining 12 minutes ticked down, the Dolphins were unable to find the back of the net, and the Bulldogs hung on to win 2-1 on Tuesday night. The Dolphins (9-4-1) are back in action Friday night to take on Hickory High School beginning at 5:30 pm.
