Dolphins finish 5th in Suffolk, Virginia

The Dolphins traveled to Suffolk, Virginia for the Nansemond Suffolk meet, and returned with a 5th place finish for the girls and a 6th place finish for the boys. Leading the charge for the girls, Avan Johnson completed the night just outside of the top-10 with an 11th place finish in a time of 21:30. Carlie Meyerholz finished 14th on Thursday afternoon, crossing the finish line in 21:58. Anabelle Denton also finished inside the top-25, completing the race in 22:53. The Dolphins’ stellar race was rounded out with Julia Gnasso and Cat Lestyan completing Cape Henry’s top-5.
On the boys’ side, the emerging talent of Zach Earl once again led the Dolphins, who completed the race in 11th place with a time of 17:52. Nick Damuth kept the Dolphins rolling with 20th place and crossing the finish line in 18:20. Berk Alptekin completed the top-25 finishes for the Dolphins with 24th place and a time of 18:41. Connor Amet and Mitchell Cuthriell rounded out the Dolphins top-5 scoring. The Dolphins will be back in action for the Race at the Cape on Saturday, October 12.
