Dolphins remain perfect in conference play with win over Trojans

The Dolphins hosted the Trojans from Walsingham Academy for a Thursday night Field Hockey contest on the turf. The Dolphins were in full control on Thursday night, racing out to a two-goal lead by the end of the first half. Kick-starting the scoring efforts, Cameron Dodzik found the back of the cage midway through the first half for an unassisted score. With three minutes remaining in the first half, Caroline Fluharty gave the Dolphins a cushion with the second score of the night. Carrying a 2-0 lead into the second half, the Dolphins would score three more in the final 30 minutes of play. In the opening minutes of the second half, Caroline Fluharty recorded her first assist of the night as she found Ali Gordon on a corner for the Dolphins’ third score of the night. Moments later, Livy Wallace extended the lead to 4-0 with her first goal of the night. Rounding out the scoring efforts on Thursday night, Cameron Dodzik added an assist as she found Kenzie Dillon for the fifth and final goal of the night. In the cage, Aleezah Adams and Tori Winans split time en route to a combined shutout for the Dolphins. The Dolphins (6-3) will Travel to Richmond on Tuesday, October 1 to take on The Spartans from Steward School.
