Dolphins fall to Trinity Episcopal in OT

The Dolphins hosted the 2018 DI State Champion, Trinity Episcopal on Tuesday night, treating Dolphin fans to an exciting night of Field Hockey. Both sides remained scoreless throughout the first half, with each side bearing down on the defensive end of the field. The second half provided much of the same until Trinity Episcopal struck for the opening score of the night midway through the second half. Minutes later, Livy Wallace found Mackenzie White in front of the frame to even the score on Tuesday night. Trinity Episcopal and Cape Henry remained scoreless for the final 15 minutes of the second half to force a seven v. seven, golden goal overtime period. The Dolphins opened the OT period on the attack, but could not find the back of the cage. Trinity Episcopal found the ball in the Dolphins’ defensive half and kept the pressure on the Cape Henry backline throughout OT. Aleezah Adams produced several clutch saves in rapid succession, but the Trinity Episcopal offense prevailed and found the back of the cage to end the night ahead 2-1. The Dolphins (5-3) will host Walsingham Academy on Thursday night beginning at 4:30 pm.
