The Dolphins traveled to Bells Mill Park on Thursday afternoon with gorgeous running weather as the Dolphins raced out to a fourth-place finish on the boys’ side and a seventh-place finish for the girls. Leading the way for the Dolphins, Berk Alptekin set the pace for Cape Henry, finishing the race in 8th place with a PR of 18:00. On the heels of Alptekin throughout the night, Zach Earl finished in 9th place just five second behind Berk with a time of 18:05. Nick Damuth finished third for the Dolphins, resulting in a top 25 finish overall on the day. Connor Amet was the fourth Dolphin to cross the finish line setting a PR in the process, with Mitchell Cuthriell rounding out the scoring five on Thursday night. On the girls’ side, Carlie Meyerholz propelled the Dolphins to a seventh-place finish with her 11th place overall finish. Anabelle Denton set a PR on Thursday night as the second Dolphin to cross the finish line in a time of 23:59. Cat Lestyan, Julia Gnasso, and Stephanie Zhou rounded out the scoring efforts for the Dolphins on Thursday afternoon. The Dolphins are back in action Saturday as the Dolphins travel to Richmond for the RVA Relays.
