Dolphins fall to Salem High School

Cape Henry Collegiate hosted Salem High School on Friday night and fell in three consecutive sets as the Dolphins fell just short in a highly competitive contest. The Dolphins were in great form Friday night, providing Dolphin fans with an exciting night of volleyball. While the Dolphins dropped all three sets, the high-level of play gave the Cape Henry Collegiate community a great deal to look forward to. The first two sets came down to the wire, as the Dolphins fell 22-25 in consecutive sets. In the third and final set of the night, the Dolphins lost a bit of steam in the 15-25 loss, but the girls earned valuable experience in tightly-contested moments. Anna Buba led the Dolphin attack with seven kills, while also earning nine digs defensively. Jordan Banister and Paris Beale each collected five kills, with Banister contributing seven digs. Brynn Earl pitched in for six kills, and Kyndl Couch rounded out the highlights with six aces and 21 assists. The Dolphins (1-3) are back in action Monday, September 16 for a contest with Portsmouth Christian School beginning at 6:30 pm.
