Dolphins move to 2-0 with win over Marlins

The Dolphins hosted Bayside High School on Wednesday night and continued their perfect record with a 4-0 win over the Marlins. TheDolphins were on the board within the first ten minutes of the night, with Cameron Dodzik credited for the eventual game-winner. Assisting on the play, both Livy Wallace and Olivia Zettervall teamed up to set Dodzik up for the first score of the night. After numerous attempts on the cage, the Dolphins added an insurance goal with eight minutes remaining in the first half. OliviaZettervall scored the second as Ali Gordon and Zettervall teamed up on the give-and-go. Less than a minute later, Kenzie Dillon extended the lead to three with an unassisted goal at the seven-minute mark. Closing out the Dolphinscoring on Wednesday, Ali Gordon drilled the back of the cage with less than a minute remaining in the first half. In total, the Dolphins picked up seven shots on the night and limited the Marlins to zero shots on goal. The Dolphinbackline of Olivia Zettervall, Sam Maiden, and Chloe Mugler thwarted eachMarlin attack to aid Aleezah Adams in the shutout. The Dolphins (1-0) are back in action Friday, September 6 for a road contest with St. Catherine’s beginning at 4:30 pm.
