The Dolphins hosted the Spartans from Veritas Christian Academy on Friday night and bounced back from a season-opening loss early in the week. The Dolphins were in full control, dominated the service line for a combined 47 aces for Cape Henry. The Dolphins earned a resounding win in the first set, taking the victory 25-9. The Dolphins continued to dominate play in the second set, rattling off nearly 15 aces en route to a 25-2 victory. In the third and final set of the night, Cape Henry earned the first win of the season with a 25-7 victory over Veritas Christian Academy. Highlighting the night, Brynn Earl accounted for 21 aces and picked up two digs defensively. Paris Beale added six aces and led the Dolphins with four kills. Kyndl Couch set up the attack for the Dolphins, dishing out 12 assists and added seven aces in the process. Rounding out the highlights, Caroline Berman contributed six aces and one kill. The Dolphins (1-1) will travel to Christchurch on Tuesday, September 3 for a 5:30 pm start.
