Girls Lacrosse- CHC 16, Nansemond Suffolk 12 (Quarterfinal)

The Dolphins hosted the Saints from Nansemond Suffolk after entering the TCIS Quarterfinal as the conference’s #3 seed, and with the final horn of the night, the Dolphins defeated the Saints for the third time this season. The Dolphins battled throughout the night as the Saints hung around for the entire 50 minutes. Cape Henry took an 11-8 lead by the end of the first half and increased the lead throughout the second half to earn a 16-12 win to advance to the TCIS Semifinal. Leading the way for the Dolphin offense, Mary Grace Fowler and Libby Kennedy combined to score 12 of 16 goals on Tuesday night. Fowler led with seven, while Kennedy pitched in for five. Madisen Patrick provided a strong supporting performance, adding two goals, while Kenzie Dillon and Charlotte Purkey rounded out the scoring efforts with one apiece. The Dolphins (10-4) will travel to Bishop Sullivan for the TCIS Semifinal tonight beginning at 4:30 pm.
