The Dolphins traveled to Norfolk Academy for a Monday afternoon match, and despite glimpses of great play from Cape Henry, the Dolphins fell, 1-8, to the Bulldogs. The Dolphins were off to a great start, winning the #1 doubles court as Grahame Brown and Flynn Somers battled to an 8-6 victory. Cape Henry dropped the ensuing doubles matches and entered singles play with a 1-2 deficit. Grahame Brown highlighted singles play, coming from behind to force a tiebreaker on the #1 singles court. After falling 3-6 in the first set, Brown won the second decisively, 6-2, to force the tiebreaker. As he fought to overcome his Bulldog opponent, Academy came out on top, 10-7. The Dolphins fell in the remaining five singles matches as the Bulldogs defeated Cape Henry 8-1. The Dolphins (2-2) will host the Trojans from Walsingham Academy tonight beginning at 4:00 pm.
