Soccer- CHC 1, Tallwood 4

The Dolphins hosted the Lions from Tallwood High School on Monday afternoon, and despite a late comeback from the Dolphins, Cape Henry fell by a final score of 4-1. The Dolphins conceded two goals in the first 40 minutes of play, as the Lions pressured Cape Henry’s back line throughout the first half. The Dolphins were able to regroup in the second half and held the Lions scoreless for 36 of the 40 second-half minutes. With Tallwood leading, 2-0, with six minutes to play, Olivia Zettervall stepped up to take the Dolphins’ penalty kick. Zettervall drilled the ball home and brought Cape Henry within one with little time remaining in Monday’s contest. However, Tallwood capitalized on the counter twice in the last four minutes and eventually narrowed out the Dolphins, 4-1. Cape Henry (3-5-2) will take on the Trojans from Walsingham Academy this evening with kick off set for 4:30 pm at Cape Henry Collegiate.
