The Dolphins battled with Trinity Episcopal on Thursday afternoon, as the Dolphins drilled the game-tying goal midway through the second half and held on to remained tied at the final whistle. Cape Henry and Trinity Episcopal were back and forth throughout the first half, with both teams fending off multiple chances. Goalie, Olivia Zettervall came up huge with several critical saves in the first half. As the first half came to a close, the score remained tied, 0-0. Returning to the pitch after halftime came to an end, Trinity Episcopal struck for the first score of the night in the 5th minute of the second half. The Dolphins hung around as the attack began to take shape. In the 26th minute of the second half, Izzy Schleifer stepped up to take a free kick from nearly 30 yards out. As the whistle blew, Schleifer drilled the ball past the Titan keeper into the upper 90 for Cape Henry’s game-tying score. Both sides battled defensively to prevent the go-ahead goal, and as the night came to an end, the Dolphins remained tied with the Titans, 1-1. Cape Henry (3-3-2) are back in action on Saturday to take on Padua Academy at home with kickoff set for 3:00 pm.
