Girls Lacrosse- CHC 23, Kellam 3

The Dolphins hosted Kellam High School on Thursday afternoon, with the Dolphins exploding for 23 goals behind seven different goal scorers. Cape Henry was off to a quick start, scoring five goals in the opening five minutes of the night. Midway into the first half, the Dolphins commanded a 10-0 lead over the Knights. The Dolphin attack was not finished, adding five goals to close out the first half with a 15-1 lead. The Dolphins switched focus to perfecting the offensive sets in the second half and continued to excel on offense. Cape Henry finished the night with 23 goals and defeated Kellam 23-3. Mary Grace Fowler led the attack with five goals and one assist, as Claire Bingham found the back of the net for four goals. Kenzie Dillon also picked up four goals on Thursday, with Madisen Patrick scoring three and assisting three. Gini Kainer and Mackenzie White scored two apiece, with Libby Kennedy rounding out the scoring column with one. Livy Wallace dished out two assists, as Charlotte Purkey, Gabrielle Beisel, and Sadie Cohen each contributing one assist. Eva Dickie, Hannah Horgan, and Tori Winans split the cage, with Dickie (3), Horgan (1), and Winans (1) each recording at least one save in Thursdays win. The Dolphins (6-2) are back in action Tuesday, April 9 for a home matchup with the Bulldogs from Norfolk Academy beginning at 4:30 pm.
