The Varsity Crew team had four races on Saturday, featuring a field of 13 teams. Three of the four Cape Henry boats held rowers competing for the first regatta ever. While the Dolphins are currently inexperienced on the water, the team focused on learning proper rowing techniques and has set their sights on the final independent school regatta May 5. The experience gained from the past weekend will inevitably go a long ways towards the progress of a team just beginning to learn the sport. Highlights from the weekend include a 6:08 finish from the Men’s Novice 4 and a 5:31 finish from the Men’s lightweight 4. The Women’s Novice 4 completed the race in a time of 6:50, while the Mixed 4B rounded out the results with a 4^th place finish.
