Baseball- CHC 4, St. Christopher’s 1

The Dolphins traveled to defending State Champions, St. Christopher’s on Saturday for the first of two games, and never looked back after taking the lead in the top of the first inning. Bryce Jones found success in the lead-off role all week and kicked off the top of the first with an infield single to the shortstop. After moving to second on a passed ball, Bryce Jones reached third safely after Dane Hoggard reached on an error. Aiden Kuhle followed with a two-RBI double to left center, scoring Bryce and Dane on the play. St. Christopher’s closed the gap with a run in the bottom of the first, but as Aiden found his rhythm on the mound, Kuhle held the Saints scoreless for the remaining six innings of baseball. Kuhle threw his second complete game against St. Christopher’s, throwing seven innings, giving up only four hits, striking out six, and walking none for his second win of the season. Cape Henry added two insurance runs in the top of the seventh inning after Josh Holland, and Alex Gianascoli both singled, scoring Trent Jones and Aiden Kuhle respectively. Dane Hoggard led the offense with three hits, while Bryce Jones and Aiden Kuhle collected two hits apiece. Kyle Edwards, Trent Jones, Josh Holland, Alex Gianascoli, and Kenny Schaedel rounded out the offense with one hit each. Cape Henry advances to 4-1 on the season with the second game of the day against Steward School on deck.
