Boys Lacrosse- CHC 7, St. Stephens, St. Agnes 13

The Dolphins hosted a talented St. Stephens, St. Agnes Varsity Boys Lacrosse program on Saturday after picking up the season’s first win on Thursday night. While the Dolphins hung around for much of the night, St. Stephens pulled out the 13-7 victory. St. Stephens raced out to a 2-0 lead before Colin Sharp closed the gap with his first goal six minutes into play. The Dolphins struggled to find an open shot to round out the first quarter and trailed 6-1 as the quarter came to a close. Colin Sharp scored his second goal minutes into the second quarter to narrow St. Stephen’s lead to 2-6. The Saints went on a four-goal run before Colin Sharp snapped the Dolphins’ scoreless streak with his third goal of the day to close out the first half. As the Dolphins returned to the turf for the second half, the Saints commanded a 10-3 lead and opened the second half with a score before Colin Sharp quickly answered to bring the tally to 4-11 in favor of the Saints. Sharp added his fifth goal of the night just before the start of the fourth quarter, bringing the matchup to 12-5. Neos Karides found the back of the net midway through the final frame, cutting into the Saints’ lead before Colin Sharp scored again to make it six on the day. As the time ticked off the clock, Cape Henry could not overcome the talented St. Stephens, St. Agnes roster and dropped the contest 13-7. Parker Tanner-Vigil picked up 12 saves in the cage, as Colin Sharp scored an outstanding six goals. Neos Karides found the back of the net for his first of the season as the Dolphins (1-3) look forward to the next matchup against Benedictine on Tuesday night beginning at 4:30 pm.
