The Dolphins traveled to Chesapeake on Tuesday night for a matchup with the Gators from Greenbrier Christian, with the Dolphin offense erupting for 91 points throughout the 32-minute contest. The Dolphins used their size to kick-start the offense, dumping the ball into the post as Dajour scored 12 of Cape Henry’s 21 first-quarter points. The boys spread the offense in the second quarter, with Erik, Lane, Kellen, and Dajour each finding the bottom of the net to add 18 points. The Dolphins held onto a comfortable lead at the half and were geared up to put the game away in the second half. The Dolphins extended the lead in the third quarter behind Christian Moore’s 19-point performance, and as the final eight minutes came to a close, the Cape Henry defeated the Gators 91-55 for the boys’ sixth conference win. Christian Moore led all scorers with 19 points, all of which came in the third quarter of Tuesday’s matchup. Dajour inched closer to 2,000 points by adding 18, with Bryson Spell reaching double-digit points with 10. Kellen Marshall, Danny Banister, and George Cutler each netted seven, with Lane Carlson (6), Nick Hubbard (5), CJ Bailey (4), Landon Clay (3), Erik Clark (3), and Beau Gwaltney (2) each find the bottom of the net on Tuesday. Cape Henry (13-4) will travel to Peninsula Catholic on Thursday for the second conference matchup of the week.
