Boys Basketball- CHC 70, HRA 27

The Dolphins hosted the Navigators from Hampton Roads Academy on Tuesday night for the second matchup of the season. The Dolphins found the bottom of the net early and often as each member of the roster received valuable game experience. Cape Henry was off to a 30-point lead behind an 18-point first quarter from Christian Moore, with the Dolphins leading 36-6 after the first eight minutes. With the rotation shifting to provide game time minutes to the entire roster in the second quarter, Cape Henry added 17 points to take a 53-12 lead at the break. As the Dolphins focused on the half court offense, Cape Henry scored 17 points in the second half to win 70-27 over the Navigators. Christian Moore led all scorers with 18 points, while Nick Hubbard pitched in for nine. Danny Banister and Dajour Rucker each added seven points, playing only the first quarter of the night. Rounding out the offense, Kellen Marshall (6), Landon Clay (6), Lane Carlson (5), Greg Melvin (4), C.J. Bailey (3), Bryson Spell (3), George Cutler (2) each found the bottom of the net. The Dolphins (10-3) are back in action Saturday as the boys travel to St. John Paul the Great for a 4:00 pm tip-off.
