Girls Basketball- CHC 40, Hampton Roads Academy 34

The Dolphins traveled to Hampton Roads Academy on Wednesday night for a conference matchup with the Navigators and earned the first conference win of the season by a score of 40-34. The Dolphins carried the lead throughout the night despite a neck-and-neck battled for the entire 32-minute match up. The Dolphins defensive pressure kept the team afloat for much of the night as the offense searches for consistency early in the season. The pieces are beginning to come together, and as the season progresses, this team is sure to find the balance of offense and defensive for an entire 32 minutes. Nadia Norman led the offense with 13 points, including a couple of 3-pointers. Madisen Patrick added 11 points, and her high-intensity defense led to five steals. On the boards, Paris Beale led the way with seven rebounds to lead the Dolphins to the second win of the season. Cape Henry (2-1) will host Tallwood High School tonight with tip-off set for 4:30 pm.
