Tennis- CHC 0, Virginia Episcopal 6

The Dolphins finished an outstanding season on Wednesday night in the State Quarterfinals against Virginia Episcopal School. It was a grueling day on the courts, but the Dolphins proved they could compete with the top competition. On the number #2 court, Charlotte Brown fell by a score of 10-5 against a talented VES opponent. Following suit, Rachel Moore and Stephanie Strickland were defeated, 10-6, in valiant efforts on the # and #4 courts respectively. Makenna DeTorres and Halle Speight battled back and forth with their respective VES opponents but fell short as Virginia Episcopal took each match 10-5. The Dolphins finished the season with a remarkable turn around from the previous season, making the entire Dolphin community proud of the efforts and dedication throughout the season. Seniors, Ellen Apotheker, Charlotte Brown, Fiona Cluna, Lauren Coureas, and Lauren Matacunas conclude their Varsity Tennis careers with the loss on Wednesday night, and the Dolphins are grateful for their commitment to the program. The Dolphins finished the season with a 5-8 record and are poised to continue to build on the success from the remarkable 2018 Fall season.
