CHC Stands Alone in TCIS Soccer

Soccer- CHC 4, Norfolk Collegiate 1

The Dolphins traveled to Norfolk Collegiate with a chance to seal the TCIS regular season title with a win over the Oaks and the boys did not disappoint, scoring four throughout the conference contest. With the Dolphins handing Norfolk Collegiate their second conference loss of the season, the undefeated Dolphins stand alone atop the conference with one conference match-up remaining before TCIS Tournament play begins. The Dolphins have been in great form throughout the week, tallying nearly 1000 passes in two games. Thursday night was no different, as Cape Henry’s style of play dominates time on the ball and limits the opposing team’s possession. However, passing alone will not win a game as the Dolphins emphasized being using superb passing to create chances on frame. Wlad Gassant kick-started the Dolphin offense, scoring two goals against the Oaks’ backline. Konrad Keenan was in on the action as he added one goal, while Grant Shepherd rounded out the offense with a goal of his own. The Dolphins’ win brings their record to 8-0 in conference play and 11-2 overall. Cape Henry will close out regular season play against Peninsula Catholic on Monday, October 22.
