The Dolphins traveled to Peninsula Catholic on Friday night to take on the Knights, returning with a loss to the conference’s #1 seed. In a challenging opening set, the Dolphins never quite found a rhythm in their play, resulting in a 6-25 loss to the Knights. In the second set Cape Henry struggled to reduce hitting errors, and without scoring from attacks, the Dolphins fell behind and eventually fell 10-25. In the third and final set of the night the Dolphins cleaned up much of the errors, which plagued them in the first two sets; however, the Dolphins could not overcome a talented Peninsula Catholic program and lost the third set by a score of 13-25. Jordan Banister and Brynn Earl each finished the night with two kills, while Brynn also added four digs to her stat line. Morgan Jones and Skylar Herrle pitched in on the defensive end with four and three digs, respectively. The Dolphins (1-12) will travel to Kempsville High School tonight for a 4:30 start.
