The Dolphins hosted the Navigators from Hampton Roads Academy on Tuesday Night and battled through each match to earn the sweep over HRA. In doubles play, the Dolphins’ Fiona Clunan and Charlotte Brown faced stiff competition on the #1 doubles court, but the pair persevered and pulled out the 8-6 win, before Rachel Moore and Stephanie Strickland paired up to earn the 8-1 victory on the #2 court. Rounding out doubles play, Halle Speight and Caroline Dixon earned an 8-3 win to put the Dolphins ahead 3-0 heading into singles play. Highlighting singles play, Makenna DeTorres swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0 en route to a Dolphin sweep of the Navigators. The Dolphins (2-2) are back in action Thursday to host the Oaks from Norfolk Collegiate beginning at 4:00 pm.
