Soccer Steals the Win from HRA

Soccer- CHC 2, Hampton Roads Academy 1

En route to Head Coach Dave Brun’s 200th win with the Dolphins, Cape Henry relied on a come-from-behind effort to steal the win from the Navigators on the road. Hampton Roads picked up an early goal in the first half, shocking the Dolphins as Cape Henry quickly trailed 1-0 on the night. Settling in on the road, Cape Henry was back to the brand of soccer it has become known for, connecting passes and building from the back line. Before the halftime whistle sounded, the Dolphins tied the score with Mason Dudley assisting Landon Clay for Cape Henry’s first score. With both teams battling back-and-forth throughout the second half, Cape Henry’s relentless pressure on the Navigator’s back line opened the door for Gavin Dooren to play a ball into George Selamaj for what turned out to be the game-winner with 10 minutes remaining on the night. The Dolphins (5-1) travel to Collegiate on Friday for a critical State matchup with the Cougars.
