Girls Volleyball Fights Hard Against Bishop Sullivan

Girls Volleyball- CHC 0, Bishop Sullivan 3

The Dolphins looked to rebound against the Crusaders from Bishop Sullivan on Friday after a loss the night before to Portsmouth Christian; however, the Dolphins’ struggles continued despite flashes of tremendous play throughout the night. In the first set of the night, Cape Henry took the Crusaders down to the wire but fell just short in the 23-25 loss. The Dolphins struggled to bounce back from the first set loss and fell behind early in the second set, eventually falling 16-25 to Catholic. In the third set of the night, Cape Henry was back to solid play but could not erase the four-point deficit, falling 21-25. Genevieve Reynolds led the Dolphins’ offense with eight kills, while Skylar Herrle added five kills and an extraordinary 21 digs. Brynn Earl pitched in for 15 assists, while Morgan Jones and Caroline Estes combined for 22 digs. The Dolphins (0-6) are back in action tonight as Cape Henry looks to capture the first win of the season against Christchurch at 6:30 pm.
