In his second year with Cape Henry, Bryce Harrison is picking up where he left off last season. As an integral member of the varsity boys soccer team, Bryce has led the Dolphins to a 3-1 start to the season.

Continuing to build off his success from last year, Bryce has already made his presence felt. “Bryce has grown to be twice the player he was this time a year ago. A large part was due to Bryce continuing to train over the winter and the summer,” Coach Dave Brun said of Bryce. “His game really took off once he started to routinely go past accomplished fourth year college players during the Beach FC CCL Pro 23 league, in which Bryce helped lead the team to an undefeated season.”

Bryce demands the respect of the opposition with his quiet demeanor and technical skill on the ball. The respect he garners, opens the field for his teammates to thrive. This is where Bryce excels, setting his teammates up for success before finishing opponents with his own offensive prowess.

“He has a big influence on every game. When he stays within himself and plays with freedom inside the fabric of the TEAM, he is at his best, an absolute magician with the ball,” Coach Dave Brun contributed.

“Trailing 1-0 at the half against Woodberry Forest, I challenged Bryce to play to his ability against a familiar opponent,” coach Brun continued. Starting the second half, Bryce was a new player. “After beating two players to the corner flag, Bryce played a perfect ball to Sebastian Gunbeyi for the tying goal. Contributing to the momentum, Bryce struck for goals four and five, securing the third win for the Dolphins.”

Adding to his weekly total, Bryce set the tone against Atlantic Shores with two more goals. Four games into the season, he currently has five goals and four assists.  Bryce and the varsity boys soccer team look to continue a successful 2017 season with talent all over the pitch!
