#BestYearEver with Eric Clark – Class of 2020
Eric Clark (‘20) is excited to be back at Cape Henry for his last year of high school! Before play practice, Eric took a few minutes to talk about his return to CHC after the summer break. When asked about his week so far, Eric said, “The highlight has been seeing all of my friends on the first day of school, but a struggle has been getting back to waking up in the morning.” Resuming a routine is surely a difficulty to which everyone can relate. However, Eric is looking forward to his senior year and “graduating so I can move onto better things and be a grown-up.”
Some changes to Eric’s schedule for this year are his involvement in the BSA and the “No Place for Hate” initiative that CHC is taking part in this year in addition to participating in the Upper School Play after his standout performance in Mamma Mia! last spring. He also said about the upcoming year: “I won’t be playing basketball at a school for the first time in my entire life. I am going to still be managing, I just won’t be playing.” It remains to be seen whether he will act in the Student-Directed play this winter.
When discussing why Cape Henry Collegiate is a great place to go to school, Eric summed it up nicely, remarking, “As you know, the community – it seems like everyone knows everyone and everyone seems to be, well, is encouraging to one another. They help each other. So, it’s just a great place to be.”
