This past Friday, Hurricane Dorian passed through Virginia Beach as a Category 1 storm. This picture shows Bubba’s Restaurant on Shore Drive off of the Lesner Bridge. It shows high tide flooding the dock, and water in the parking lots. This wasn’t the only spot of flooding. I live near the Lesner Bridge and Bay Island and know the neighborhood was flooded and was impossible to get into. Most of the areas near the Lynnhaven River were flooded and the city of Virginia Beach needs to do something to make sure flooding doesn’t affect these areas in the future.
