CHC Wrestling – Cape Henry Invitational

Wrestling- CHC 2nd Place

The Dolphins hosted the Cape Henry Invitational on Saturday featuring First Colonial, Indian River, North Hampton, Norfolk Christian, and Broadwater Academy. The Dolphins finished the tournament in second place behind ten top-three finishes, earning 147 points and trailing only First Colonial in the final results. Aedan Somers, wrestling in the 145 lbs weight class earned 1st with a 3-0 record, with Reed Truxell in the 220 lbs weight class and Parker Tanner-Vigil in the heavyweight weight class each earning 1st place with 2-0 records on the day. Brendan Hawley (132 lbs), Logan Tucker (145 lbs), and Colin Sharp (152 lbs) each took home a 2nd place finish with Sharp and Tucker finishing 2-1 and Hawley finishing 4-1. Rounding out the top-three finishes, Jack Simkins, Tucker Bruner, Gianni Bezada-Schenone, Colby Kassir, and Jackson Kassir all finished in 3rd place after an outstanding day of wrestling. The Dolphins are back in action December 8 for the All-VISAA tournament at Norfolk Collegiate beginning at 10:00 am.
