Softball- CHC 1, Norfolk Christian 13 (Quarterfinal)

The Dolphins traveled to Norfolk Christian for the Quarterfinal matchup of the TCIS Tournament, taking on the Ambassadors from Norfolk Christian. The Dolphins took the first lead of the night, scoring one run in the top of the first inning, but the Dolphin offense was stymied by the exceptional defensive performance from the Ambassadors. The Dolphins put the ball in play throughout the night but mustered only two hits in Tuesday’s matchup. Norfolk Christian raced out to a 9-1 lead by the top of the third inning, and finished the night early, adding four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Faith Jones and Merry Jiang accounted for the Dolphin hits, while Amberly Butler scored the lone Dolphin run. Several Dolphins performed exceptionally well, including Rachel Moore behind the plate, a stellar catch from Abby Glenn, and Amberly Butler on the mound, as well as, an incredible effort and atmosphere from the entire Dolphin Softball program.
