Boys Lacrosse- CHC 5, Blue Ridge 11

The Dolphins were back in action on short rest after earning a win the previous night and dropped the contest to Blue Ridge School, 10-5. Carter Atherton put the Dolphins on the board with Cape Henry’s first score with four minutes remaining in the first quarter. With the game tied, 1-1, Blue Ridge went on a run just before the half, adding four goals before Aidan Rosenblum ended the Baron’s scoring streak with a goal of his own. With Rosenblum’s goal, the Dolphins went into the half trailing, 2-5. The third quarter brought a low scoring affair, as Rosenblum added the only goal before the final quarter to bring the tally to, 3-6, in favor of the Barons. With the final quarter underway, Mason Dudley cut into Blue Ridge’s lead to bring the score to 4-7 with seven minutes left to play. Rounding out the Dolphins scoring efforts, Mason Dudley found Connor Garrison cutting to the net for the Dolphins’ fifth and final goal of the night as Cape Henry dropped the contest 11-5. Aidan Rosenblum led the offense with two goals, as Connor Garrison, Carter Atherton, and Mason Dudley each added one. Ethan Jones, Konrad Keenan, and William Dickie added one assist apiece with Parker Tanner-Vigil accounting for seven saves on the night. The Dolphins (5-6) are back in action Wednesday afternoon for a matchup with Grassfield High School beginning at 6:00 pm.
