Girls Basketball- CHC 29, NSA 51
It was not the Dolphins’ night in Suffolk on Tuesday night as Cape Henry fell to the Saints from Nansemond Suffolk Academy 29-51 after being blanked in the first quarter. NSA went on a 12-0 run to open the night, digging the Dolphins into a hole within the first eight minutes. Cape Henry found the bottom of the net in the second quarter, but the girls were outscored 9-11 to bring the score to 9-23 at the half. The second half brought much of the same as the Dolphins struggled to hit shots against the Saints’ defense. With the night coming to a close, Cape Henry trailed 29-51 as the final buzzer sounded. Madisen Patrick led the Dolphin offense with 12 points, while Nadia Norman added six. Emily Ryan, Paris Beale, and Amberly Butler each added three points, with Olivia Zettervall rounding out the offense with two points. Cape Henry (6-8, 3-3) will travel to Norfolk Academy for a 5:30 pm tip-off on Friday night.
