Girls Cross Country- 4^th

The girls’ XC team continued to build off a tremendous season by taking 4th at TCIS meet on Thursday afternoon, tying highest team finish at the TCIS meet– a feat that has not been achieved since 2007.  Avan Johnson led the way for the Dolphins with a 6th place finish, and in the process, Avan earned All-TCIS honors.  Johnson’s time of 21:51, a PR by over 40 seconds, also placed her on the all-time top-10 performance list in school history.  Following behind Johnson and rounding out the scoring five was Madisen Patrick, Carlie Meyerholz, Izzy Schleifer, and Hannah Gunn, while veteran Cat Lestyan clocked in at 25:25– good enough for her new PR.  The team will travel to Fork Union Military Academy for next Friday’s VISAA Championship with eyes on finishing in the top 10, another mark the program has never achieved.
