CHC Soccer Team Controls Entire Game

Cape Henry traveled to the Steward School on Friday night for a matchup that saw the No. 5 Division I Dolphins versus the No. 10 Division II Spartans, with Cape Henry controlling all aspects of the night and earning the 2-0 win at the final whistle. Coming off a heart-breaking 1-0 loss to Collegiate School, the Dolphins looked to rebound on Friday night against Steward School, with the Dolphins focusing on winning 50-50 plays and stepping up the defensive intensity. The Dolphins controlled possession throughout the night as the boys knocked the ball around with purpose and built the attack through the defensive third, with Logan Tucker, Carter Atherton, Connor Garrison, Konrad Keenan, and Goalie John Ermini’s valiant effort leading to the third shutout of the season. On the offensive third, Wlad Gassant put the Dolphins in the lead with the night’s first score. Chris Clunan rounded out the Dolphins’ scoring efforts with an insurance goal in the second half, bringing the tally to 2-0 in favor of the Dolphins. As the final whistle sounded, Cape Henry advanced to 3-0 in conference play. The Dolphins (6-2) are back in action tonight to take on the Trojans from Walsingham Academy with kick off beginning at 4:30 pm.
