Boys Volleyball Team Defeats Salem Sun Devils

The Dolphins took on the Sun Devils from Salem High School on Monday night, with Cape Henry sweeping the first three sets. The Dolphins were geared up for the Monday night matchup with Salem High School after winning three of the last four matches. Looking to extend the winning streak to four games, Cape Henry finished the first set 25-20 to take the early 1-0 lead. The Sun Devils bounced back in the second set, matching every point the Dolphins scored. After pulling ahead ever so slightly, Cape Henry hung on to win the second set by a score of 25-23. Entering the third set of the night, Cape Henry showed no signs of slowing down and handed Salem a 25-14 defeat to extend the Dolphins winning streak to four games. Thomas Couch dished out 17 assists on the night and added three kills to his performance. Danny Banister led the Dolphins attack as he finished off seven kills through three sets, while Marshall Joyce pitched in for four kills. The Dolphins (6-2) will wait eight days to play next, hosting Norfolk Christian on October 10 at 5:00 pm.
