The Dolphins hosted the Seahorses from Christchurch on Monday night, with the Dolphins falling in a competitive match throughout all four sets. The Dolphins began the night with a slow start, falling behind early in the first set. As the Dolphins settled in, Cape Henry narrowed the Seahorses’ lead but could not overcome the early deficit and dropped the first set 17-25. The second set came down to the wire with Christchurch pulling ahead late to earn the 25-21 victory over the Dolphins. Cape Henry regrouped in the third set, limiting the unforced errors to defeat Christchurch 23-19. Trailing one game to two, the Dolphins need to take the final two sets to earn the first win of the season. However, the Seahorses dug in and defeated the Dolphins 25-18 in the final set of the night. The Dolphins (0-7) are back in action tonight to take on the Navigators from Hampton Roads Academy on the road beginning at 6:00 pm.
