Orsini, Ryan lead girls swimming in the Walsingham meet

The Dolphins took part in the Walsingham Academy swim meet on Saturday at the Fort Eustis Aquatic Center, and numerous top times were turned in for the boys and girls teams. The boys team earned wins over Norfolk Collegiate and NSA and dropped a close outcome to Walsingham while the girls came up short as a team against each opponent. Despite the difficult team results for the girls, Alex Orsini turned in a fantastic day. Alex took home 1st place finishes in the 100 butterfly (1:03.94) and the 100 backstroke (1:03.62). Alex also joined Ashley Ryan, Kate Vittone and Brooke Ainslie on the 200 medley relay team, which finished 2nd with a time of 2:16.59. The 400 freestyle relay team of Orsini, Ryan, Ainslie and Anna Xystros finished in 3rd place with a time of 4:27.97. Ashley Ryan also turned in a 1st place finish in the 100 freestyle in 59.03.
